Here's my first Five Ideas Friday blog for 2017 - go easy on me, my brain is still rusty from Christmas!
  • In the final years of school (compulsory), students should be able to spend a year specialising (as in hands on learning) and interning before leaving.  This could be in subjects where there is a skills shortage or where technology seems to be growing
  • A workspace built and created for unemployed. They would get free access and coffee, this would give them a space where they can focus on finding a next role and still get a social out (ensuring that they stay positive). The workspace could rent out further desks to start ups and sme's who can give out volunteering opportunities (for a limited time). The unemployed would get a chance to network, develop skills and possibly get hired whilst the business gets some help.
  • Retails shops should have different size mannequins and dress them in the same outfit. This way, customers can see if the outfit would compliment their body shape. This should increase customer experience and decrease refunds
  • Turn public libraries into coffee shops. This may encourage people to read more books from the library and spend money in their local economy
  • There should be a bolt on system for the book Tools of Titans - something that helps you put order to the content
