4Most content produced today is shit.
Content marketing is one of the best ways to engage with your audience but with so much noise and the speed of the digital landscape, content is getting worse! Your audience have real problems that need solving and they expect your content to solve these problems. What they don't want to read is short shallow content that has been rushed, copied from elsewhere or provides no real value. For me, there are 4 quick fixes you can make today to make better content (by the way, when reading them, don't just think blogs!).

I love LinkedIn, I've literally built a sales career from using it!
But I do have one major problem with it...Connection Collectors! I've noticed that there are a lot of Connection Collectors on LinkedIn these days. These are people who want to connect but have no intention to network, talk or share ideas (what's the point then!?!?). I'm connected with (at this current time) 6,384 connections. This is a blog that I've been meaning to write for a while...
I founded Prince Talent in 2014 to aid my recovery from a serious back illness. With £600 to invest (I bought a laptop, £10 skype credit and a bluetooth headset!), I generated £150k in sales and worked with leading brands in London and Kent. How did I do this? There was a lot of hard work, LinkedIn and free work involved! But, I wouldn't of had the success I had without the amazing online tools I used on a daily basis. Today, I want to share those tools with you. I hope this blogs helps you build something special, whether that's part of a wider business or your very own business. Today's world is a funny one!
No I don't mean Donald Trump's rise in politics or how AR is beginning to help clinics diagnose and treat patients half way across the globe (although that is pretty amazing!) I'm talking about how our human biology isn't built for today's world and challenges! When thinking of negotiation most people think of two corporate CEO's using their wit, charm and improvisation to get a deal that suits them!...
But this isn't the case. In fact the part people think of is actually the last part of negotiation, plenty of work goes on before the two big CEO's even talk! There are three dimensions to successful negotiation; The Set Up, Building a Structure and The Discussion.
Being involved in the Start Up world , I get to see many different forms of technology and online platforms.
With this in mind, I wanted to share with you the technology that is set to change the game of recruitment! Of course recruitment will always be people based but as we've seen over the past 4 years, technology is an ever - increasing part of it..... Not to mention that they should make your recruitment strategy more effective and efficient! Way back in 1913, a French Engineer called Maximilian Ringlemann completed a study in which he confirmed that the power of two animals pulling a cart was not double the power of a single animal pulling it.
Wanting to explore things further, Maximilian had several men pull a rope and measured the force applied by each individual. He found that if two people were pulling together each invested 93% of their individual strength, 3 people it dropped to 85% and with 8 people lulling the rope? It dropped to just 49%! Have you ever had two employees who are constantly frustrated by one another?
The normal approach to resolve employees conflicting is to 'knock their heads together' and tell them to get on with it. But have you considered a more probing approach? Have you considered tapping into the psychology of the two employees styles? Luckily, you don't have to be a Chartered Psychologist to tap into your teams psyche and solve this common company culture issue. I once started a job where on my first day nobody spoke to me, I muddled through set work and ate lunch on my own.
I wanted to quit within the first week. A Leadership study of over 20,000 new hires showed that 46% of new employees didn’t stay with the business past 18 months of employment. Onboarding matters. Having a good onboarding process will be a lot cheaper and easier than having a high turnover. Have you ever asked yourself…
How can I keep my Sales Leader on this hot streak? How can I ensure my Project Manager keeps this good form? How can I build a team of winners? Recent studies shows that the Winner Effect may actually be real, and this blog aims to show you how it can be utilised for business productivity and performance! |
